Some of the issues in the are area is the edge of the pavement is not defined and people parking on the pedestrian travel way.

What’s going to happen between Castro Valley Boulevard and Miramar Avenue? Concrete sidewalks. $4.2 million has been set aside for sidewalks in that area.

Designs will go before the community in Spring 2018 with design completion in Fall / Winter of 2018 and construction beginning Summer of 2019. The county estimates the overall project could take eight months to complete.

In the meantime, white painted lines will be installed to delineate limits of parking on Stanton in January.
