#castrovalley#news#fyi – The Alameda County Board of Supervisors voted to give one-time grants of $5,000 to small businesses, and the money does not need to be repaid. The Grant money must be spent on rent, payroll, and other operating expenses. The grant application window opened Monday and will close on November 30. The Alameda County CARES Grant Program is being funded with $5 million in federal CARES grant program money. To be eligible, businesses must have been negatively impacted by COVID-19, such as temporary closures or layoffs, possess a valid business license, agree to follow Alameda County Public Health guidelines, and have between 1 and 25 employees.
